Party and Park

We spent the day attending a party given by some friends from the University and visiting Dardenelle State Park. The kids had a great time running around with Patrick's coworkers' children at the party. Afterwards, we went to Lake Dardenelle to check out the aquarium and play on the play structure. It was a lovely day and Lake Dardenelle looked especially beautiful. Although Lake Dardenelle State Park is the closest State Park to our house, we had never been inside the building there. It was fabulous inside. I am so impressed with the State Parks here in Arkansas in general. Where Arkansas is lacking in good shopping and other things that we enjoyed in Michigan and Atlanta, it makes up for in it's State Parks and natural beauty. Arkansas really lives up to it's name as the Natural State and the State Parks do a good job of showing it.
